Founded by local citizens in 1965, KOOTASCA Community Action helps individuals, families, and communities fight the multiple causes and challenges of poverty.
- Through comprehensive crisis support, anti-poverty services, and partner referral, we help people to help themselves make meaningful change in their lives and journey out of poverty.
- Our mission, “Building Community to End Poverty,” is a collaborative effort with our community to change attitudes and mindsets about poverty, to change the systems that affect people in poverty, and to engage all community members in creating a community that provides opportunities for everyone.

🏡 Hiring Highlight - Homeownership Navigator 🏡
We are hiring a Homeownership Navigator. This individual will:
- Serve as a client-oriented people engaging member of the KOOTASCA Homeownership and Financial Advisory team.
- Perform administrative and advisory work, helping program participants with financial goal-setting and asset-building strategies that help them to achieve or transition into stable housing.
- Screen clients for program down-payment eligibility, facilitate homebuyer education workshops, align volunteers, provide one-on-one client advising, review client budgets and credit, identify resources, provide recommendations and referrals, and navigate options to achieve homeownership.
