- Education
- Minimum: High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred: Special Boilers certification or willingness and ability to obtain through Agency within one year of hire.
- Experience

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive and employee will also perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned.
Area 1: Cleaning & Maintenance
- Provide basic janitorial cleaning and maintenance to KOOTASCA’s buildings and grounds as directed. Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Maintain in good working condition assigned tools and equipment.
- Daily cleaning of main hallways and corridors
- Management of trash/recycling
- Drywall repair and painting
- Complete cleaning as needed, including vacuuming, mopping, washing of floors/windows, etc.
- Exterior maintenance of buildings including painting, caulking, mowing, etc.
- Snow removal and de-icing as needed.
- Maintenance of playground equipment and ensuring its safe working condition.
- Replacement of light bulbs and repair of minor electrical problems
- Routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks and/or urinals.
- Assemble and/or repair furniture, and move/set-up of tables and chairs
- Respond to emergent situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
- Maintain in good working condition assigned tools and equipment.
- Work with supervisor to schedule needed repairs beyond this position’s intended scope of work.

- Must have valid driver’s license and current auto insurance coverage in compliance with Minnesota State guidelines on the vehicle used for work related travel.
- Travel for completion of job duties, trainings and meetings as required.
